To check your finances in public (at a café, on public transportation) without exposing balances and net worth to anyone next to you, turn on privacy mode. It hides all monetary values on screen in guito, replacing them with dots (••••••).

Turn on privacy mode

Click the eye icon at the top of the page to turn privacy mode on or off.

What gets hidden

When privacy mode is on, guito masks every monetary value across the app, not just the page you started from: balances, net worth, amounts in account, transaction, and holding lists, and the figures shown next to charts. Labels, dates, merchant names, and categories stay visible; only the numbers are masked.

Where the setting persists

Privacy mode is saved to your account and stays on across reloads, new sessions, and any browser you sign in on, until you turn it off again.
Privacy mode only masks values on screen. It doesn’t blur screenshots or screen sharing, so a recording captures whatever is on screen. Turn it on before you share your screen.
