To check your finances in public (a café, public transport) without exposing balances and net worth to anyone next to you, turn on privacy mode. It hides every monetary value on screen in guito, replacing them with dots (••••••).

Values are hidden

Monetary values are replaced with dots across the screen.

What gets hidden

When privacy mode is on, guito masks every monetary value across the app, not just the page you started from:
  • Amounts in account, transaction, and holding lists.
  • Totals such as balances, net worth, and category sums.
  • Values shown alongside charts, so totals and figures next to a chart are hidden too.
  • Amounts in the assistant’s confirmation cards (for example, before you save a credit or transaction).
Labels, dates, merchant names, and categories stay visible, so you can still navigate and read context, only the numbers are masked.

Where the setting persists

Privacy mode is saved to your account and stays on across reloads, new sessions, and every device you sign in on, until you turn it off again.
Privacy mode only masks values on screen. It doesn’t blur screenshots or screen sharing, so the masked figures are what a recording would capture, turn it on before you share your screen.
