Turn on notifications
1
Open notifications
In the mobile app, open Profile -> Settings -> Notifications.
2
Allow notifications
Under On this phone, tap Turn on notifications and allow them when your phone asks. Your phone asks only once.
Which notices you receive
Both are on by default. Tapping a notice opens the connection in the app, where you can renew it.What notifications show
Your lock screen is visible to other people. That’s why guito’s notifications never show amounts, balances, account numbers, or the bank’s name. For example: “The connection to one of your banks expires in 7 days.” The details appear in the app after you tap the notice. At night
On iPhone, between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. (mainland Portugal time), notifications arrive silently: they don’t make a sound or light up the screen, and they wait for you in Notification Center. When notifications come to Android, they follow your phone’s sound settings at any hour.Turn off a notice
Turn off the notice’s switch in Profile -> Settings -> Notifications, under On this phone. Turning off a notice on your phone doesn’t turn off the email for the same notice, and the other way around. To stop all of guito’s notifications on your phone, turn them off in your phone’s settings.FAQ
I stopped getting notifications after I signed out. Is that normal?
I stopped getting notifications after I signed out. Is that normal?
Yes. When you sign out, the phone stops receiving that account’s notifications. It receives them again when you sign back in, as long as notifications are still allowed.
I rarely open the app. Will I still get the notices?
I rarely open the app. Will I still get the notices?
Yes. Your phone keeps receiving notices as long as the app is installed and you’re signed in, even if you don’t open it for months. It stops only if you don’t open the app for more than 200 days, and starts again when you open it.
